Atlas Brown’s investment research and portfolio management team utilize a variety of proprietary investment styles and vehicles employing disciplined processes which have been developed and successfully implemented over many years.  Many of our clients see the never-ending search for alpha as one which necessarily extends beyond the realm of traditional equity investing where stocks are bought and sold on the world’s major indices.  Rather, our research leads us to look at many of today’s new and burgeoning companies which aspire to be tomorrow’s household names, where near-term growth may be a challenge, but where longer-term prosperity is achieved in multiples.

We evaluate the suitability for clients who wish to invest in privately-held equity offerings in a variety of local, regional, and industry-specific opportunities.

We also maintain and utilize a core list of alternative third-party investment managers whose styles range from the more aggressive event-driven, global macro, and directional biases, to the more mainstream equity market-neutral and long-short strategies.  Our Alternative Asset Oversight Committee reviews each of our external managers for both current and recent performance, liquidity, style drift, and a series of risk measures such and Sharpe and Sortino ratios, among other criteria.

Multi-generational investment management requires a comprehensive outlook which extends well beyond that which is typically practiced by many of today’s investment advisors.  At Atlas Brown we see the quick-hit philosophy practiced by many, and demanded by many as well, as limited and narrow in scope.  Rather we focus our sites on the long term and sustainable return on capital investments which has created the substantial portion of the wealth in today’s world.  This is the Atlas Brown difference.
